He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary McMahan and John Gardner; and his wife Linda Ruth Simmons Gardner. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Gardner-Cole (Hodge); and his siblings, Mike Gardner (Susan) and Diane Marsh (Wayne). He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
