He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Benjamin and Ida Marie Simmons Spell; his wife Ruby Doris Williams Spell; his granddaughter Lindsey Spell; and his siblings, Bud Spell, Carolyn Johnson and Mary Donna Bullard.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Donna Spell of Roseboro; his grandchildren, Jonathan Honeycutt (Cortney), Brandon Carter (Brittney), Tracy Williams (Jonathan), Tara Simpson (Eric), Jessica Allen (Gibby), Troy Spell (Lauren), Savannah Alderson (Dallen), Auston Spell (Karen) and Benjamin Spell; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Williams, Emery Williams, Denton Williams, Kerigan Simpson, Kenedy Simpson, Brycen Carter, Brayden Carter, Brynna Carter, Jordyn Jackson, Paisley Jackson, Dawson Allen, Gunner Spell, Maebry Spell and Tyson Guyton; and his brother Mann Spell (Betty Jean Spell) of Roseboro.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church (395 Vander Rd, Salemburg, NC 28385). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
