She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernice Smith and Neta King Smith; her husband Dearl E. West; and her siblings, Mary Nicholson, Marie Holland, Ruby Chesnutt, Joyce Pope, Linda Honeycutt, James Smith, Billy Smith and Tony Smith.

She is survived by : her daughters, Tonya Young of Roseboro and Regina Kook (Chris) of Roseboro; her grandchildren, Nicholas West Young of Clinton, Casey Williford (Vernon) of Wade, Andrew Kook (Amanda J.) of Roseboro and Amanda E. Kook of Charleston, SC; her great grandchildren, Maddox Williford, Tanner Williford, Eli Kook and Ellie Kook; and her siblings, Dean Bland (Everette) of Clinton and Earl Smith (Christine) of Clinton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mintz Baptist Church, 3761 Old Mintz Hwy., Roseboro, NC 28382.
