He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Teed Deisher; his daughters, Dawn Synder, Stefanie Emes and Whitney Deisher; his stepchildren, Amanda Grube, Joseph Heck, Jr., Aaron Heck, Troy Heck and Trevor Heck; and his close friend Ronald Wert. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
