We announce the death of Larry Clifton Tanner of Roseboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 61. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton "Tic" Tanner and Stella Mae New Tanner; and his pet Petey. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Tanner; his sons, Jonathan Tanner (Lauren), Brandon Tanner (Madelyn) and Wesley Tanner (Tori); his grandchildren, Hayden, Harper, Hadleigh, Maddon, Winston and Baby Tanner; his siblings, Janice Tart and Steve Tanner; his niece Stephanie; his nephews, Charles Glen Tart (Pop Tart) and Madison McMaster (Mason Tart); and his close friends, Wayne Branch, Hal Knowles, Nick Gooden and Frankie Strickland.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Butler Funeral Home (401 W Roseboro St, Roseboro, NC 28382). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at the Tanner Family Cemetery (137 Lauren Ln, Garland, NC 28441).
