She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Wright "Tony" Weeks and Clara Mildred Cogdell Weeks; her husband William David Tew; her daughter Janie Claire Tew; and her daughter-in-law Deborah Jernigan Tew.
She is survived by: her sons, William David Tew Jr. of Dunn and Bryan Weeks Tew (Kimberly) of Roseboro; her grandchildren, Kelly Suzanne Tew Tyndall (Jason), Katie Stevens Tew Butler (Chris), Joshua Clayton Tew (Corrie), Kyle Weeks Tew (Zoe) and William Owen Tew (Hannah); and her great grandchildren, Zannah, Kendrick, Sterlyn Tyndall, Jerryanna, Eliza, Emilia Butler, Jax, Eli and Ali Tew.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to Mt. Elam Baptist Church Cemetery Upkeep.
