He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Mathis and Nora Brown Israel; and his wife Martha. He is survived by: his son Brent (Kim); his grandson Clay (Lauren); his siblings, Beverly Wilson, Rachel Courson, Avonda Jones and Robert Mathis; and his friend Sharon Hogsed.
