With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Young of Rosman, North Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Woodring and Betty Woodring of Rosman; her husband Ken Young; her sisters, Martha Jean Woodring and Kansada Woodring Ledford (Kandy); and her nephew John Anthony Ledford.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Marie Stepp (Jimmy) and James Danny Burgess, Jr. (DeAnna); her siblings, Brenda Winebarger of Saucier, Sandy Houck of Brevard and Jody Woodring of Leesburg Florida; her grandchildren, James Stepp, Juli, Kaitlyen McCall, AnnaLee and Charles Burgess; her great grandchildren, Delilah, Dean and Adalyn; her nephews, Bubba, Scott and Joseph; and her niece Rebecca. She is also survived by two great nephews and one great niece.
