With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annette Sue Whitney Walters of Rougemont, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Eugene Whitney and Ora Louise Tower Whitney; her son Mark W. Wingo; and her sister Joyce W. Hurst. She is survived by: her husband Jimmie Ray Walters; her sons, Brian Wingo (Diane) and Alan Wingo (Janice); her grandchildren, Ellison Goodwin, Rachel Wingo (Matt), Ruth Wingo, Matthew Wingo, Travis Wingo, Jenna Wingo Hastings (Seth) and Eli Wingo (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Charlotte Kirby, Mildred "Millie" Driggers, Finnegan Kirby, Chloe Nelson, Vera Wingo, Vivian Wingo and Teddy Wingo; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Lunsford, Norma Roberts (Jimmy) and Marshall Walters. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
