With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Morris of Rougemont, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Morris to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Morris and Maggie Brown Morris; and his nephew Wade Champion. He is survived by: his wife Magdalene Whitt Morris; his children, Debra Morris Goss (Ronnie), Ricky David Morris (Rebecca Powell) and Larry Cecil Morris (Barbara); his grandchildren, Cathy Russell, Matthew Morris (Sarah), Kimberly Wood (T. J.) and Shane Morris; and his great grandchildren, Carlyn of Cayson, M. J., Kaylee, Kinsley and Addison. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (1171 US-158, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
