He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee and Ella Blanche Hill Garrett; his former wife Joyce Lee Garrett; and his sister Peggy Mullen. He is survived by: his wife Debra Jean Gentry Garrett; his son Stacy Garrett (Sylvia) of Roxboro, NC; his brother Harry Lee Garrett (Patricia) of Greenwood, SC; his stepdaughters, Jennifer Long Fulford (Todd) of Timberlake, NC and Gina Long Mangum (Jeff) of Rougemont, NC; his granddaughter Natalie Garrett; his stepgrandchildren, Kailey Mangum and Kelcey Mangum; and his sibling's children, Lisa Hartman and Lowell Mullen.
