He was predeceased by: his parents, Teddie Mitchell, Jr. and Altomae Wilkins Mitchell. He is survived by: his sisters, Vickie Mitchell-Winters (Lacy) of Roxboro, Wanda M. Neal (Terrence) of Roxboro, Donna Mitchell of Durham and Kimberly M. Mitchell of Mebane; and his aunts, Linda Mitchell-Inman (Jefferson) of Rougemont and Cora M. Sturgis of Durham. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cunningham & Associates Funeral Services (87 Brookland Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). The lying in state was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greater Cleggs Chapel Community Missionary Baptist Church (2601 Surl Mount Tirzah Rd, Timberlake, NC 27583). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
