He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashley Locklear and Sarah Ann Dial Locklear; his siblings, Fennie "Fuzzie" Lloyd Locklear and Dorothy Cummings; and his grandchildren, Donald Tubbs Jr. and Tangie Locklear.
He is survived by: his children, Dane Locklear Jr. of Rowland, Johnny Locklear of Rowland, Kecia Tubbs of Lumberton and Lisa Locklear of Rowland; and his siblings, Ted Locklear (Susan) of Rowland and Tessie L. Locklear (Donald) of Maxton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
