She was predeceased by: her parents, Belton Locklear and Aline Godwin Locklear; her husband Fred Scott; her son Harold; her siblings, Frank Godwin, Fletcher, Belton "Buddy" Locklear, Jr., Joyce Locklear and Iris Freeman; and her great grandchild Dakota Barton.
She is survived by: her children, Clarence "Freddy" Scott of Lumberton, NC, James Scott (Lyle) of Lumberton, NC, Alton Scott (Mary Ann), Mary Alene Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Penny Pittman (Danny) of Lumberton, NC and Carrie Branch (Randy) of Lumberton, NC. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Place (2610 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at the Floyd Memory Gardens (3720 Old Whiteville Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358).
