She was predeceased by: her former husband Robert Sidney Ashby; her husband Vernon Pittard; and her siblings, Nancy Moore and Ewell Ball. She is survived by: her daughters, Mollie Sanford (Edison Sanford) and Susan Clayton (Donny Clayton); her grandchildren, Brittani Carver-Schemper of Fayetteville, NC, Alicia Stephenson, Jarrett Sanford of Roxboro, NC and Kristen Carver-Mullen of Burlington, NC; her great grandchildren, Jake, Jett Schemper, Colby, Addison, Emerson Bazemore and Keegan Sanford; and her friends, Larry Oakley, Ricky Chambers, Randall Sanford, Tim Fowler, Cathy Hamlet, Ken and Barbara Cox.
