He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Durant Simpson and Gladys Virginia Oakley Simpson; his wife Annie Jane Ellis Simpson; his daughter Angela Simpson; and his siblings, Kay Glasscock, Donnie Anne Simpson Horton and Lynn Simpson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christy Dawn Simpson, Pamela Simpson Hanson and Brenda Gail Simpson Trickler; his grandchildren, Scottie, Jennifer, Jessica, Hallie, Thomas, Kyle of Amanda, JC and Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Trevian, Miguel, Lucia, Luis, Lincoln, Angelina, Sebastian, Diego and Wyatt.
