She is survived by: her husband Johnnie Burton; her daughter Conswella Payne of Durham, NC; her stepdaughter Tonya Slade of Roxboro, NC; her grandsons, Douglas Blackwell, IV of Durham, Johnnie Blackwell of Wilson, NC and Derrick Bryant of Roxboro; her mother Elizabeth L. Gatling of Roxboro; and her siblings, Decarlo Davis (Sandra) of Durham, Janice Crutchfield of Roxboro, Edward Davis (Angel) of Roxboro, Karen Wright (Martinez) of Roxboro and Evonne Royster (Michael) of Roxboro. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
