He is survived by: his wife Doris Hester Whitfield; his children, Matthew Bruce Whitfield, Jonathan Andrew Whitfield (Nicole) and Alison Elizabeth Whitfield; his brothers, Ted M. Whitfield (Tricia) and Arnold B. Whitfield; and his granddaughters, Hannah Maghan Whitfield and Lila Grace Whitfield.
