He was predeceased by: his father J. B., Sr. Hicks; and his brothers, Frederick Hicks (Demetrius) of Roxboro and Gary Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Love Hicks; his children, Brittney and Brandon Hicks (Cheyenne) of Roxboro; his grandchildren, Kayla and Kayden Hicks of Roxboro; and his siblings, James Hicks (Margaret) of Queen Daye, J. B, Walter Hicks (Jackie) of Roxboro, Doris Townsend of Roxboro and Herbert Hicks (Yvonne) of Roxboro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
