He was predeceased by: his father John Horatius Jones; his son Dennis Bailey; his grandson Bruce Moore; and his siblings, Vernon Jones, Rethella Louise Spencer, Frank Taborn, William Taborn and Jimmy Taborn.

He is survived by: his children, Tracie Bailey, Lisa Bailey, Billy Bailey, Charlie Bailey and Kenneth Bailey; his siblings, Elder Melvin Jones, Terry Jones, Sherry Jones, Effie Palmer, Margaret Finley, Willie Bea Burton, Earlie Mae Taborn and Betty Cunningham; and his caregiver Valinka Moore. He is also survived by two grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
