She was predeceased by: her spouse Dolian Clayton; her parents, Bryant Bowes and Pallie Bowles Bowes; her son Blake Clayton; her brothers, James Roy Bowes (Magalene), Bobby Bowles and Haywood Bowes (Brenda); and her siblings-in-law, Obie Yarboro and Joyce Bowes.
She is survived by: her son Brent Clayton (Casey); her siblings, Ronnie Bowes and Kathaleen Yarboro; her grandchildren, Coty Clayton and Erika Clayton; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey Poole and Hayden Clayton.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Clayton Family Cemetery (531 City Lake Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574).
