He was predeceased by: his parents, Dancy David Day and Maude Clayton Day. He is survived by: his wife Janie Neathery Day; his children, Derek Day (Amy) and Janine Day Thomas (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Drake Day (Kaitlyn), Drew Day, David Thomas and Ashley Thomas; and his caregiver Clara Sehen.
