She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Lamberth and Ursula Thomas Carter Zimmerman; her husband Billy James Bowes, Sr.; her son Billy James Bowes, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Donna Bowes; and her siblings, Jesse "Buddy" Zimmerman, Bernice Zimmerman, Bobby Zimmerman and Dorothy Zimmerman Bradsher.
She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Bowes (Care Burton) of Hurdle Mills, David Bowes of Semora and Stuart Bowes of Burkeville, VA; her siblings, Owen Zimmerman, Henry Zimmerman, James Zimmerman, Jerry Zimmerman, Carroll "Pete" Zimmerman, Betty Jean Overby and Faye Gainey; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ellington, Marlin Siers, Joshua Bowes, Travis Bowes, Billy Jack Bowes, Heather Beaver, Terry Copeland, Katie Ruth Bowes and Rachel Bowes; and her great grandchildren, Dustin Ellington, Jorja Ellington, Lili Bowes, Grayson Bowes and Tiffany Young.
