He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Lou Clark Lowery; his daughter Brandi Carter Magin; and his brother Ronnie Carter. He is survived by: his father Arnold Wilson Carter; his wife Betty Jean Glasscock Carter; his son Brian Carter; his grandchildren, Kaylee Magin, Melinda Melton (Trevor) and Nicholas Magin; and his siblings, Doug Carter (Tina) and Doris Wilson (David).
