It is with sadness that the passing of Doyle Thatcher Wilson of Roxboro, North Carolina is shared. Doyle, born on January 23, 1941, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Voyt Wilson and Mary Rowland Wilson; his wife Lola Jean Reaves Wilson; his son Ricky Wilson; his daughter-in-law Tonya; his sisters, Cynthia Adams Phillips and Judy Wilson Waycaster; his son-in-law Dean Walker; his brother-in-law Larry Maddox; and his niece Katelyn Phillips.
He is survived by: his daughters, Norma Wilson Walker and Lynn Wilson Bowes (Allen); his siblings, Troy Wilson (Texie), Kenny Wilson (Mary Jane), Donnie Wilson (Mary), Gwinda Maddox, Edith Derreberry and Kathy McGwinn; his grandchildren, Kyle Bowes, Travis Wilson, Trent Wilson (Melissa), Ryan Walker and Jason Walker (Ashleigh); and his great grandchildren, Gracelyn Wilson, Makayla Walker, Abbigail Walker and Charlie Walker.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home, Inc. (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
