She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Wilson and JoAnn Pulliam; her husband L. T. Bailey; her sister Charlotte Pettiford; her grandmother Effie Newman; and her niece Consuella Newman.
She is survived by: her children, Victor Newman (Emily) of Roxboro, Shaun Bailey of Roxboro and Ra'kim Satterfield of Roxboro; her stepdaughter Minister Tywanda Jefferson of Lynchburg, Virginia; her siblings, Vanessa Royster of Roxboro, Camicka Newman of Roxboro and Mildred Clayton of Roxboro; her nephews, Martel Newman of Roxboro, Jason Royster of Roxboro and Jermaine Royster of Roxboro; her uncle Isaiah Wilson; her cousin Howard Johnson of Roxboro; and her close friend Richard Grier (Tasha Woods) of Roxboro. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
