She was predeceased by: her father Willie Carrington; her husband Herman Edwards; her children, Robert, Pearlie and James; her grandson James, Sr.; and her siblings, Willie, Airlene, Lucille, Virginia, Robert Lee, Edward and Baby Sis.

She is survived by: her daughter Esther Brown of Baltimore, MD; and her grandchildren, Chervon of Baltimore, Karen of Baltimore, Thomas of Baltimore, Robert of Baltimore, Nicole of Baltimore, Deena of Baltimore, Michael of Baltimore and Rashad of Baltimore. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other additional family members and friends.
