She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Moore and Elizabeth Moore; her husband Howard Richmond, Sr.; and her grandson Kenyatta McGhee. She is survived by: her children, Howard Richmond, Jr. (Patricia) of Roxboro, James "Hog" Richmond of Roxboro, Brenda Burton of Roxboro, Jackie Fountain, Virginia Ann Richmond and Leon "Spider" Richmond (Jackie) of Roxboro; and her granddaughter Clarissa Richmond. She is also survived by other grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
