He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Signora Bailey Carrington; his sisters, Queen Carrington and Patricia Carrington Anderson; and his brother-in-law Albert Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Carrington; his siblings, James Wallace Carrington of Roxboro, NC and Signora Torain (Earl) of Roxboro; his godchildren, Tracey Brooks of Fayetteville, NC, Teresa Jones of Roxboro, Michael Reed of Greensboro, NC, Troy Reed of Greensboro, NC and Ann Reed of Greensboro, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Estelle Reed Smith of Roxboro, Joan Reed of Roxboro, Patricia Jones (Vience) of Roxboro, Jean Sanford (George) of Nyack, NY, Herman Reed of South Boston, VA and Thomas Reed of Roxboro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
