He is survived by: his spouse Jean Kathleen Terrell Compton; his sons, Craig Compton of Roxboro, NC and Travis Compton of Raleigh, NC; his brothers, Charles T. Compton (Doris) of Roxboro, NC and Cecil L. Compton (Brenda) of Roxboro, NC; his granddaughter Brittany Barnette (Colton); his great grandchild Ridge Barnette; his stepchildren, Suzanne Davis (Scott Hawkins) and Charles Davis (Jessica); and his stepgrandchildren, Kaylan Davis, Skye Hawkins, Brandi Hawkins, Kinley Davis and Presley Davis.
