It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Garrett of Roxboro, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on May 29, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Wade Garrett and Helga Rogers Garrett; and his siblings, William Garrett, Rogers Garrett and Joanne Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel Bowen Garrett of TImberlake; his sons, Michael Garrett of Semora and David Stewart Garrett of Timberlake; his siblings, Wayne Garrett of Hampstead, Joyce Nelson (Michael) of Hampstead and Sue Canoy (Ray) of Durham; and his granddaughters, Amanda Garmony, Gina Marie Garrett and Stephanie Garrett. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
