He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Carlton and Mary Bradsher Davis; and his siblings, Linbyrd Davis, Arthur Davis, Sr., Leo Davis, Ezra "Bug" Davis, Andrew "Jackie" Davis, Edna Humphrey, Margaret Trotter and Shirley Yarbough.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Davis; his children, Consuela Stephens, Angela Lowery (Timbo), Patrick Davis, Kendrick Graves, Aaron Davis and Tiera McCain (Ron); and his siblings, Stella Davis, Mary Ann Paylor (Fred) and Franklin "Soul" Davis (Becky). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Young's Chapel Baptist Church (284 Youngs Chapel Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
