He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Nichols Pleasant, Sr. and Lottie Newton Pleasant; his wife Sandra Jean Dixon Pleasant; and his half-siblings, Ruth Brooks and Walter Lee Pleasant.
He is survived by: his son Bryan Randall Pleasant (Rhonda); his siblings, Ellis N. Pleasant, Jr. (Linda) and Searie Pleasant; and his grandsons, Bryson Pleasant and Carver Pleasant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Brooks & White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Clement Baptist Church (8480 Burlington Rd, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541).
