She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Satterfield; her parents, Russell Newell and Josephine Newell; her brother Russell Newell, Jr.; and her grandson Michael Scott Phillips Jr..
She is survived by: her stepson Perry; her children, Jennifer Phillips (Scott) of Oxford, N. C. and Preston Satterfield IV (Dana) of Angier, N. C.; her grandchildren, Caroline Phillips Leaming (Van), Troy Satterfield, Ellory and Garrison Satterfield; her sister Zalene Newell Burnette (Alex); her nieces, April Tonkin (Dusty) and Carrie Hawkins (Ken); her sister-in-law Susan Satterfield; her nephew David Satterfield (Lisa); and her friend Jason Royster. She is also survived by Nana to her grandchildren.
