She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Bernard and Janie Bett Regan Shotwell; and her stepson Jamie Hamlett. She is survived by: her spouse Ryland Moriel Hamlett; her children, Denise Day (Rodney Campbell) of Roxboro, NC and Rodney Day (Tracy) of Laurinburg, NC; her grandchildren, Jessica Strader (Wesley), John Hamlett, Justin Day, Jerri Tate, Jason Hamlett (Caitlin) and Phillip Day; her great grandchildren, Hannah Evans, Christian Evans and Lucas Tate; her stepdaughter Joellen Funk; and her daughter-in-law Sharon Hamlett.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hope Church Cemetery (1562 Mill Creek Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574).
