He is survived by: his wife Donna Oakley Puryear; his children, Suzette Ramsey of Oxford, Winston Puryear (Shannon) of Rougemont, Patrick Puryear (Maria) of El Paso, TX, Felicia Waller (Chris) of Mebane and Christy Gregory of Roxboro; his siblings, Nell Hudson of Virgilina, VA, Betty Caldwell (Jack) of South Boston, VA and Phil Puryear (Patsy) of Buffalo Junction, VA; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Puryear, Dean Puryear and Bunny Marks; and his grandchildren, Victoria Ramsey, Kacey Ramsey, Gracen Powell, Avery Puryear, Chris Waller, Jr., Hayden Puryear, Addison Gregory, Aubrey Puryear, Bentley Waller and Peyton Puryear. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
