She is survived by: her husband Dr. Stephen Saunders; her children, Christian Saunders (Ashley) of Roxboro, Johanna Saunders Wilson (Chris) of Durham and Dr. Stephanie Saunders Linville (Bob) of Roxboro; her siblings, John Robert Hester (Jean) of Conover, Phillip G. Hester (Mary Beth) of Lynn Haven, FL, Jean Hester McMillian of Graham and Joyce Hester Laeser (Tom) of Naples, FL; and her grandchildren, Hester Claire Linville, Robert Franklin "Tres" Linville III, Helen Kathryn Morrill, Avery McCray Howell, Arya Laine Saunders and Caden Alexander Saunders.
