He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Merrill and Edna Sue Seaborn Merrill; and his brother Jimmy Wayne Merrill. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Burt Merrill; his children, Anthony Patrick Merrill (Michelle), Mary Katherine Hall (Kermit) and Timothy Scott Merrill (Susan); and his grandchildren, Christopher Michael Hall, Cameron Anderson Hall, John Patrick Merrill and Andrew Scott Merrill.
