He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo King Bowes and Nannie Lou Duncan. He is survived by: his sons, Mark Leon Bowes (Allison) and Chad Everette Bowes (Sharon); his stepson Christopher Godley (Allyson); his wife Monique Louise Floyd; and his siblings, Carolyn Marie Henderson (John), Tony Dale Bowes (Carol) and Milo Neal Bowes (Janet). He is also survived by five grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 15 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). Monique and Jimmie shared a tight bond and Monique was stellar in her care of Jimmie in the last years of his life, particularly as he battled cancer and COVID.
