With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Lipscomb (Roxboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 6, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Johnson and Clara Johnson; and her brother David Johnson. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Lyons of Durham and Marilyn Lipscomb of Durham; her grandchildren, Ashley Lyons of Durham and Mary Lyons of Boone; and her siblings, Patrecia Lawton, Clara George (William), Dorothy Wagstaff, John Bennie Johnson, Christopher Johnson (Gail) and Ronald Johnson (Jeffrey). She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
