He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eddie Briggs, Sr. and Geraldine Wilson Briggs; and his brother James Everette Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Tuck Briggs; his stepchildren, Penny Gail Clayton and Nicholas Gray Clayton; his grandchildren, Micah Walters, Anthony Snead and Alayla Tuck; his sister Jane B. Whitt (Mike); and his great grandchild Silas Walters.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Life Independent Baptist Church (6413 Burlington Rd, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
