He is survived by: his parents, Edwin Long and Brenda Efland Long; his wife Katharine Laws Long; his children, McIver, Tinsley and Sophie; his sister Allison Long Chandler; his nephew Johnston Chandler; his mother-in-law Susan Laws; his sister-in-law Alisa Montgomery (Walter); his nephews, Will, Luke and Samuel Montgomery; and his pet Trixie. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
