He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Elizabeth Ann and Arthur Hill Butler; his brother Tommy Butler; and his granddaughter Kathryn Butler. He is survived by: his wife Martha Eugene Butler; his sons, Andrew Butler (Sarah) of Apex, NC and Eric Butler (Erin) of Matthews, NC; his brother Thorpe Butler (Rita Saylors) of Houston, TX; and his sister-in-law Georgiana Butler of Parker, CO. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Long Memorial United Methodist Church (226 N Main St, Roxboro, NC 27573).
