He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Radford Garrett and Phoebe Hicks Garrett; his wife Phyllis Carol Franklin Garrett; his daughter Carol Lynn Garrett; and his siblings, Billy Garrett, Steve Garrett, Elizabeth Harris, Emogene Carver, June Bowes and Doris Patterson.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Garrett (Diane Bowes) of Timberlake and Mark "Tony" Garrett (Lisa) of Roxboro; his brother Ray Garrett of Timberlake; and his grandchildren, Travis, Justin Garrett, Tyler Neal Lunsford, Ronnie Antonio Lunsford and Danielle Renee Lunsford. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
