With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Johnson Drumwright Jr. (Roxboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnson Drumwright and Eva Ray Drumwright of Bailey's Chapel A. M. E. Church; and his siblings, Daffodil Lawson, James Theodore Drumwright, Katherine Handy, Cleo Link and Thomas Drumwright.
He is survived by: his siblings, McDonald Drumwright (Laverne), Clyde Drumwright (Phyllis), Shirley D. Satterwhite (Reggie), Kelvin Drumwright (Denise), Velma Drumwright, Colleen Burgess (Joshua) and Todd Drumwright; and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Johnson Drumwright of Timberlake and Arthur Handy of Baltimore, Maryland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cunningham & Associates Funeral Services (87 Brookland Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
