It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph William Thomas of Roxboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Thomas and Annie Lucille Green; his wife Donna Hazel Bostic Thomas; and his brother Jerry Thomas. He is survived by: his daughter Jackie Thomas Swanik (Mark); his siblings, Pete Thomas (Levon), George Thomas, Mary Thomas Stone (Tommy), Betty Thomas Elliott (Winston) and Melanie Thomas (Larry); and his granddaughter Cassidy Swanik.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Olive Branch Baptist Church (7588 Dirgie Mine Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574).
