She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse James and Willie Mae Reynolds Evans; her husband James Willie Carey; her son Michael Jeffrey; her stepson James Doyle Carey; and her siblings, Cordie Lowery, Frances Andrews, Margie Moss, Kathleen Conner (Kat) and David Evans.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Drew Jeffrey (Erica), Christopher Jeffrey (Sarah), Daniel Jeffrey and Caleb Gilliland (Bridgette); and her siblings, Jean Duncan and Ira James Young. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
