She was predeceased by: her parents, Garthan Epps and Vashti Martin Epps; and her husband George Watkins Childress, Jr.. She is survived by: her siblings, Douglas Epps, Patricia Stewart and Marilyn Epps; her daughters, Sandra Seamons of Roxboro and Penny Childress of Roxboro; her sisters, Claudia Sur (John) of Greensboro, Betsy Privette (Van) of Zebulon and Diana Stevens of Mechanicsille, VA; her grandchildren, Jacob Seamons, Joshua Seamons and Jenna Seamons; and her stepgranddaughter Brittany Chavis.
