He was predeceased by: his parents, Junious Harris and Rosetta Harris; and his siblings, Willie James Harris, Roosevelt Harris, Woodrow Harris, Lindsey Harris, Cecil Harris, Eddie Harris, Kenneth Harris, Melvin Hamlett, Esther Mae Harris, Geneva Daye and Nannie Pyle.

He is survived by: his friend Tommy Wagstaff; his wife Sallie B. Harris of Graham; his children, Betsy Allen (David) of Waldorf, Junious L. Harris, Jr. (Lisa) of Roxboro, Bernard Harris (Miriam) of Greensboro and Rochelle Suffern (Shayne) of Graham; his grandchildren, Sheketa Pettiford (Todd) of Roxboro, Brandon Harris (Malika) of Greensboro, Eric Suffern of Graham, Alisha Richardson (Yasin) of McGhees Mill, Elizabeth Parker (Cyrus) of Bryans Road, Natalie Allen of La Plata, Christian and Corey Suffern of Greensboro; his great grandchildren, Saniyah, Noah, Malik, Madison, Nasir, Kali, Zoey, Neriah and Naomi; his stepgrandchildren, Takesha Alexander-Askew and Jalend Alexander; and his siblings, Lou Ella Daye of Roxboro, Florine Harris of Roxboro, Dorothy Green of Durham, John Harris (Marcelle) of New Rochelle, John Wayne Harris of Ithaca, Winfred Harris (Betty) of Bowie, Flemmie Harris (Beverly) of Spartanburg and Curtis Harris. He is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
