He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Merriman Solomon and Helen Ashley Solomon; his daughter Claire Solomon; and his siblings, Charles Merriman Solomon, Merle Silas Solomon and Kathryn Solomon Hays.
He is survived by: his children, Ashley Solomon Bruce, Laura Solomon Long (Tommy "TJ" Long) and Robert Charles Solomon (Jessica Giordano Solomon). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, eight nephews and one "favorite" niece.
